SESTAR’s focus in the area of energy is focused on the development of printable, thin-film organic solar cells that are aesthetically pleasing and that have applications for a wide range of products, from artificial grass and plants, to roofing materials, to camouflage tents for use by the military.
Sestar’s unique patents enable the production of cells in all colors, and our scientific teams have recently established a world record for efficiency and energy-retention in black solar cells.
MEDICAL
Currently in development by Sestar are several technologies that will have a profound impact in the medical field, foremost among them a plasma sterilization unit for sustainable healthcare.
A Plasma Mobile Sterilization Device, using our patented sensor technology, sterilizes medical equipment in a matter of seconds in a self contained, highly portable and compact unit using a plasma energy generation system. It offers the benefit of more complete sterilization than traditional methods and, unlike traditional autoclaves that use high temperatures and moisture, is non-corrosive to devices.
- Principle Use: Solar and/or AC/DC powered sterilization, replacing the autoclave.
- Proprietary Features: Fast, light weight, solar and/or AC/DC powered, self contained (requires no additives or technological training), more effective than today’s standard techniques.
- Application: Hospitals, ambulances, out-patient facilities, oral surgeon and physician offices, labs, military field medics, international disaster relief, public health agencies such as the World Health Organization (WHO).
